The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) developed its Sea Change initiative to support sustainable systemic and structural institutional transformation, especially in colleges and universities, enabling success in high quality higher education and research missions by ensuring that the full range of individual student and faculty talent can be recruited, retained, and advanced in…STEM.

Bluestone Design was tasked with designing a logo and broader identity for the initiative that established its own unique look that still remained compatible with AAAS’s institutional identity. After brainstorming, developing, and presenting a variety of options, AAAS chose the abstract wave option we designed. Once refined, the design was applied to a variety of pieces, including brochures, online ads, signage, and awards.
